a liar's autobiography

2012

A liar's auto biography is a British adult animated comedy film that is a completely inaccurate portrayal of the life of Monty Pythons alumnus Graham Chapman. Directed by Bill Jones, Jeff Simpson and Ben Timplett, this film is loosely based on A Liars Autobiography book written by Chapman and David Sherlock.

This film uses different styles of animation by exploring different animation techniques such as stop motion, 2D digital, 3D and the classic cut out animation that Monty python is known for to give the film that abstract look as the animation also goes with the humour. This film does explore extreme humour that can go way over the top and is definitely not suitable for kids as it explores topics such as sex, drugs and death and can go into topics that may make the viewer feel uncomfortable.

I do think this a great piece of work as it is something unique but also think this film is not for everyone so I will give this film 4/5
